Parish of the Holy Sacrifice
Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you are seeking to enter the Catholic faith, looking to share your gifts with our community, or in need of spiritual support through prayer, this guide will show you the exact steps to take.
Faith Formation
Become Catholic (Adult Catechumenate)
Entering the Catholic Church as an adult or completing your missed sacraments is a beautiful journey of faith. In the Philippines, this standard process welcoming non-Catholics or unbaptized adults into the community is traditionally facilitated through the parish Adult Catechumenate Program.
This formation pathway is also open to baptized adult Catholics who have yet to receive their First Holy Communion or the Sacrament of Confirmation (Kumpil)—which is often a canonical requirement for those preparing for a Catholic Holy Matrimony (Kasal).
How to Start the Process:
Visit or contact our administrative office to express your interest. You will be scheduled for an initial interview and structural orientation with our parish catechists or clergy.
You will typically need to secure and submit foundational documents such as your PSA Birth Certificate and, if already baptized in another Christian denomination, a copy of your baptismal record for structural review.
Participate regularly in the designated parish formation classes. These sessions walk you through Catholic doctrine, scripture, sacred tradition, and liturgical life in a supportive community setting.
The journey culminates with the celebratory reception of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist), which traditionally takes place during the solemnities of the Easter Vigil.
